The Writers' Fellowship!

Welcome to The Writers' Fellowship!

We are pleased to announce that the Bonneville County Library and the Eastern Idaho Writers League (EIWL) are teaming up to bring fresh and fun events to support writers and encourage new literary talent in our community.
Here's what's happening! (All events will be held at the Ammon Branch)
Writers' Group: Our new writers' group has a name! "The Writers' Fellowship" will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays (5:00-6:00 p.m.)  These will be educational sessions, taught by a local author or a member of our incredible library staff, focused on the ins and outs of writing, publishing, marketing and networking. Open to writers of all ages. Invite your writer friends!
Writing Sprint:  Held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month 7:00-8:30 p.m. The Writing Sprint is open to all writers, in all stages of their writing careers. It will include a brief time to visit, network, and ask questions, followed by a 45-minute writing sprint (so bring your laptop, tablet, or notepad and pen). Let's WRITE! The sprint will end with closing thoughts, questions, and networking.
Book Club: Held on the 4th Wednesday of each month 7:00-8:30 p.m. We have several published and award-winning authors in our community, and we want to get to know them and their books! This monthly book club will choose one book each month written by a local author (a member of the EIWL) to read and then discuss.

March Schedule of Events:

Wednesday, March 11th, 7:00-8:30 p.m.     Writing Sprint... Bring your writing supplies (laptop, notebook & pen) and let's WRITE! Great opportunity to meet other writers and get some work done too!

Wednesday, March 18th, 5:00-6:00 p.m.    Writers' Fellowship Educational Night... "Creating Characters you Can Love (or Hate!)"

Wednesday, March 25th, 7:00-8:30 p.m.  BOOK CLUB! We will be discussing the novel, "Somebody's Rose", written by local author, Marla Melior. Marla will be attending this event, so you will get the backstory of the novel and be able to ask questions about the book and her writing process.  Marla will have discounted books available for purchase at the other March events listed above.  ($14. Cash, Card, or Venmo) "Somebody's Rose" is also available on Amazon in paperback, Kindle e-book, and Kindle Unlimited. The library does have a limited number of copies.
