Sensory Play for Pre-K is a kindergarten readiness program geared for 2-3-year-olds, that focuses on skills needed to help children succeed in school. Sensory Play for Pre-K is not preschool but instead a weekly 30- minute parent/child program that focuses on kindergarten readiness skills with take-home lessons to be completed home with parent/child between in person classes.
Program Schedule:
In Person Class and material pick-up: Wednesdays at 9:30am at the Ucon branch.
October 2026- April 2027; 22 Weeks
This program is designed for children that are ages 2-3 years entering Kindergarten in 2-3 years (Fall 2028- Fall 2029) and are not attending any other preschool type program. If your child is entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2027, please look for our Learn with Me: A Kindergarten Readiness Program for age 4 at the Iona and Westside Branches!
The 30 minute class is limited to the enrolled parent and child. If younger siblings plan on attending please note that small parts and choking hazards might be present for those under 2.
To be eligible for the program, you must have a current BCLD library card in good standing without fines/ fees or overdue items. Space is limited and completing this registration form does not guarantee placement into the program. If more children register than spots available, a lottery will take place.
